Who we are: OB&O’s is a local family owned restaurant specializing in African and Caribbean cuisine. As we re-open, we are looking for a team of dynamic individuals to help foster our values of authenticity, flavor and culture. We are looking to fill three roles;

Line cook (Full-time):

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of culinary experience
  • Food Handling Certificate

Salary and Benefits: 17.50 – 18.50. 15% off orders.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Work cooperatively with others, by treating other staff members with respect and integrity
  • Supports head chef by grilling, frying, sautéing and preparing specified recipes
  • Portion food products prior to cooking according to restaurant portion sizes and recipe specifications.
  • Daily preparation of sauces, meats, and cultural foods
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
  • Leads the team in the absence of the head chef

Prep Cook (Full-time/part-time)

Salary: 16.50 – 17.25. 10% off orders

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of culinary experience
  • Food Handling Certificate

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
  • Work cooperatively with others, by treating other staff members with respect and integrity
  • Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards
  • Close the kitchen properly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assist others in closing the kitchen.

 

Waiter and front desk staff

Salary and Benefits: 15.50 – 16.25. 10% off orders. Previous experience preferred.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Maintains service standards by greeting customers as they enter the restaurant
  • Work cooperatively with others, by treating other staff members with respect and integrity
  • Taking orders and processing payments
  • Assists with closing and opening of restaurant with team
  • Packs orders for take-out, Uber eats and skip the dishes.
  • Maintains cleanliness of restaurant.
